Pixar debuts first gay main character with ‘Out’
Pixar just released a trailer for their short film called “Out”, which follows a gay man coming out to his parents during a surprise visit.

The sneak peek is less than a minute, but it’s enough to warm our hearts and make us scream for more.

The latest heartwarming tale from @Pixar’s #SparkShorts. Start streaming Out tomorrow on #DisneyPlus.

It’s not the first time an LGBT character is featured on a Disney or Pixar film. Just last February, a lesbian character appeared in the Chris Pratt and Tom Holland-starrer “Onward”. This drew some backlash and caused the film to be banned in some countries. So it’s a pretty big move for Disney and Pixar to still release something with a gay character and even put him on the lead. What can we say? LOVE WINS.

“Out” is premiering on streaming service Disney+ as part of its short film series “Spark Shorts”.
