Cult classic ‘The Princess Bride’ just got a remake with an all-star cast!
More than 30 years after “The Princess Bride” premiered, we’re returning to the endearingly classic fantasy-adventure via an unexpected remake care of today’s biggest stars, a production that will definitely make director Rob Reiner—who’s here, too!—proud.

The likes of Chris Pine, Tiffany Haddish, Adam Sandler, and more are paying a loving tribute to the iconic fairytale, from “Juno” director Jason Reitman. The result? Inconceivable!

The remake features—deep breath—Common, David Oyelowo, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Garner, Josh Gad, Joe Jonas, Neil Patrick Harris, David Burtka, Pedro Pascal, Patton Oswalt, Rainn Wilson, Diego Luna, Keegan Michael Key, Jack Black, Elijah Wood, Sophie Turner, and even filmmaker Taika Waititi.

As for why he’s remaking “The Princess Bride”, Jason said it was all in good fun, but also for a cause, and the celebs have worked hard to pull it off.

“They’ve been working tirelessly for the last two to three months to create an entire movie from scratch, just because,” he said. “The money is for a good cause, and it’s fun to connect with a movie you love. In recreating it you get to feel a little bit of what it was like to make the original.”

To premiere the film exclusively on its service, Quibi donated $1 million to World Central Kitchen, which helps restaurants stay afloat amid the ongoing pandemic by paying them to prepare meals for those in need of relief.

Chapters of “The Princess Bride” remake will unfold on streaming service Quibi over the next few weeks.
