Charlize Theron becomes an immortal soldier in ‘The Old Guard’ trailer
A trailer for the upcoming Netflix film “The Old Guard” is here, and it’s nothing short of epic! Charlize Theron stars as Andy, the leader of a secret group of immortal soldiers who have spent centuries protecting the world.

The trailer jumps into action immediately, taking us to a gritty underworld of action and also introduces us to Nile, played by KiKi Layne, a newcomer assimilating into the soldiers’ world. One epic shootout scene shows the team being taken down, though they instantly come back to life and finish off their assailants.

Tensions reach a boiling point when an emergency mission exposes the team’s secrets, prompting Andy and Nile to face off against enemies planning to replicate their power for greed.

Also here are “Harry Potter” actor Harry Melling, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Veronica Ngô Vân, Matthias Schoenaerts, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

By the looks of the trailer, “The Old Guard” seems primed to be even more action-packed than “Extraction” starring Chris Hemsworth, which debuted this April 24 and became a massive hit. Hopefully this one becomes a hit, too, because we need more bad*ss females on-screen!

The movie is directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and is based on the acclaimed comic book by Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernández. Gina says she wants to “reframe what it means to be a female,” and “our toughness and bad*ssness and courage” a normal thing. Louder, ma’am!

“The Old Guard” starts streaming on July 10.
